The gear selector of an automatic transmission is typically located on the center console or steering column of a vehicle. It allows the driver to choose between different driving modes such as Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, and sometimes additional modes like Sport or Low. The gear selector is usually a lever that can be moved between these different positions to control the transmission's gear selection. When the driver shifts into a particular gear, the transmission automatically engages the appropriate gear ratio based on the driving conditions. **

The gear selector of an automatic car is typically located on the center console or steering column. It consists of a lever with different positions such as Park (P), Reverse (R), Neutral (N), and Drive (D). To operate the gear selector, the driver simply needs to move the lever to the desired position. Some automatic cars also have additional settings such as Sport mode or manual shifting options. **

There are several potential reasons why your automatic transmission may not engage when you put the gear selector in Drive. It could be due to low transmission fluid levels, a faulty transmission solenoid, a malfunctioning torque converter, or a problem with the transmission control module. It's important to have your vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to diagnose and address the issue promptly to avoid further damage to the transmission. **

The Dolchstoßlegende, or "stab-in-the-back myth," was a conspiracy theory popular in Germany after World War I. It claimed that the German Army did not lose the war on the battlefield, but was instead betrayed by civilians on the home front, including politicians and Jews. This myth was used to shift blame away from the military and government for the defeat in the war, and was later exploited by right-wing and nationalist groups to undermine the Weimar Republic and promote the idea of a "stab in the back" as the cause of Germany's defeat. The Dolchstoßlegende contributed to the rise of anti-Semitic and nationalist sentiments in Germany during the interwar period. **
