Hello! The main difference between a brake cylinder and a master brake cylinder lies in their functions within a vehicle's braking system. A brake cylinder is typically found in drum brake systems and is responsible for applying pressure to the brake shoes, causing them to press against the drum and slow down the vehicle. On the other hand, a master brake cylinder is part of a hydraulic brake system and is responsible for converting the pressure applied to the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure that is then distributed to the brake calipers or wheel cylinders to stop the vehicle. In essence, the master brake cylinder controls the overall braking system, while the brake cylinder is more specific to drum brake setups. **
