Black people have been found to have a higher proportion of fast-twitch (FT) muscle fibers compared to white individuals. This difference is believed to be due to genetic factors, as certain genes have been identified that are more common in black populations and are associated with a higher percentage of FT muscle fibers. Additionally, environmental factors such as physical activity levels and training adaptations may also play a role in the development of muscle fiber composition. Overall, the higher proportion of FT muscle fibers in black individuals may contribute to their athletic performance and abilities in activities that require explosive power and speed. **
